Dispensaries Trashed and Robbed in California and Oregon

A number of marijuana stores have been vandalized and ripped off during the wave of George Floyd protests gripping the country.

In Oakland, Magnolia Wellness is among a number of stores that was hit. Owner Debby Goldsberry posted the following statement on Facebook:

“We were robbed by an armed group, and lost nearly everything. We will need help to rebuild. To be clear, this was not protesters or looters, these were armed criminals. If you have not been hit yet, I advise you to close, and store your money and cannabis at a distributor out of the bay. We can’t rebuild without you all, as we are a small mom and pop with no corporate to bail us out. Love you all! Be safe. We’re closed for a week or so.”

Goldsberrry tells CelebStoner that it happened at 3 am on May 31. “It was bad. We lost everything,” she says. “They didn’t burn us down and only broke two windows, so that part’s good.”

Harborside Health Center, Blum and ECO Cannabis in Oakland were also robbed.

In San Francicso, SPARC, Mission Cannabis Club, California St. Cannabis Company, Dr. Greenthumb’s, Urbana’s and Grass Roots were also targeted.

In Los Angeles, several stores on Melrose Ave., including Cookies and MedMen, were attacked as were LA Kush and Sherbinskis.

Cookies owner Berner said at Instagram:

“It’s extremely unfortunate what happened to our store tonight on Melrose. But as a human living in the world today I can’t expect anything less until justice is served. We can rebuild our store but you can’t bring someome back to life. With that being said, we stand with what’s going on in the world, A statement needed to be made. I pray everyone stays safe and protects their family in a time like this. How can I worry about a store when there’s so much happening in the world right now? So much hate, so much anger, so much pain and a lack of justice. Please take care of your families and stay safe.”

Other stores hit include VHHC in Vallejo, One Plant in El Sobrante, Oregon’s Finest in Portland and Firehorse Trading Company and Hunky Dory Smoke Shop in Eugene.
